Located just outside of Chicago in the suburb of Melrose Park, Lincoln Tech has been an important part of the Chicago community for more than 100 years. Originally founded in 1902 as Greer College of Automotive Engineering, the campus joined the Lincoln family of schools in 1969. Programs and Partnerships
Automotive Service Technology – Pursue a diploma in Automotive Service Technology or an Associate Degree in Automotive Service Management Technology.
Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology – Train to install, troubleshoot, and service low-voltage electronic systems such as whole home automation, closed-circuit monitoring systems, fire alarms, and home theater equipment. Study electrical concepts as they relate to conductors, insulators, wiring and switching devices, to help build skills toward entry-level low and high voltage residential electrician work.
Medical Assistant – Train to assist doctors while working directly with patients in a rewarding healthcare support career.
Welding Technology – More than 17,000 welding jobs are projected to open in Illinois between 2020 and 20302
Specialized Training Partnerships
Graduates from the Automotive Technology and Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology programs at the Melrose Park campus have the opportunity to apply for continued training through specialized training partnerships that Lincoln Tech has with major manufacturers. | ||
Melrose Park automotive students may train on Audi models and technology through an Audi-developed independent learning module. Audi provides the curriculum. | ||
For EEST program graduates, our partnership with Johnson Controls provides specialized training in their proprietary technology. Qualified EEST graduates can then apply for advanced training at the Johnson Controls Academy at Lincoln Tech’s Columbia, MD campus. | ||
The Lincoln Tech & Mazda partnership provides technician training on Mazda models and proprietary technology through a Mazda-developed independent learning modules. These courses enhance the technicians’ familiarity with Mazda-specific servicing, maintenance and roadside assistance skills. | ||
Also available to graduates of our Melrose Park automotive program is the opportunity to apply for specialized training in manufacturer-specific technology. These programs are offered at various Lincoln Tech campuses across the country.
