David Murphy Award Expands Trade School Scholarships
It is with great pride that Lincoln Technical Institute of East Windsor, CT has announced the establishment of the David Murphy Vocational Scholarship. This award was established in memory of David Murphy, a lifelong mechanic who thoroughly enjoyed the work he did. Mr. Murphy’s love of his trade led his family to establish trade school scholarships in his name, with donations from his friends and family, to help aspiring technicians pursue a career in the Automotive or Diesel Technology industries.
“David was so happy in his work that his family and friends thought a suitable way to honor his memory would be to help upcoming technicians in the Auto or Diesel field achieve their dream of a technical education through a $1000 scholarship,” says Mary Jo Greco, President of the East Windsor campus. “We find this a very touching gesture and are sure that David would be pleased with his legacy.”
