Online auto body classes now available at Lincoln Tech
90% of graduates get hired for the field; Blended Learning platform combines hands-on practice with convenient online auto body classes
Here’s Good news: the collision repair and auto body industries are projected to add more than 170,000 jobs across the country over the next 10 years. The better news is: average pay rates for collision repair specialists in New England are among the highest in the nation*. But the best news is: new online auto body classes are now available at Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, Connecticut making it more convenient than ever to train for this in-demand field!
Careers in the collision repair industry give you the chance to combine STEM skills with artistic creativity while you rebuild and restore damaged cars and trucks. The new Blended Learning curriculum lets you complete some coursework online from home – freeing up your on-campus time for hands-on practice and experience in collision repair bays and spray paint booths. Students who work during the day or have other commitments can pursue their career goals with a more flexible, convenient schedule.
In addition to a wealth of opportunities in the collision repair and refinishing employment market, jobs in this industry can also be financially rewarding. This is especially true in New England and across the Northeast. Connecticut is a Top 10 state for average hourly pay rates in the field, and the country’s two highest-paying states are Rhode Island and Massachusetts. (Median rates in those states are almost 20% higher than the national average!) Nearby states like New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey also crack the Top 20* – and with housing options available near the East Windsor campus, you can come from just about anywhere to pursue your career goals!
Online auto body classes enhance program with 90% hiring success rate
The goal of any career training program, of course, is getting hired – and at the East Windsor campus, 90% of graduates from the Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology program get jobs in their field when they complete their training.** Director of Career Services Jennifer Nunes says the key to having such a high placement rate is the relationships Lincoln Tech enjoys with area employers.
“We work hard to make sure students are placed in jobs in the field prior to graduating,” Nunes explains. “We work closely with employers such as Dent Wizard, the Gengras Collision Center, and many local shops who often have open positions to fill. Our campus also schedules field trips and tours of area facilities for the students in training, so the employers get to know them even before they’ve graduated. We strive to build long-lasting relationships with our employer partners that benefit them and also pay dividends for our students.”
Blended Learning at Lincoln Tech provides a convenient, flexible option when you’re looking for online auto body classes that also allow for important hands-on practice.
